Hello from BarCamp Ruhr!
Ok. I know I haven’t posted much lately but I’ve been a busy girl. Middle of March I was in Frankfurt for the German Launch of Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008. The German SharePoint Conference 2008 was also going on at the convention center and over 7000 attendees where there to check out the sessions. I was there doing videos for my work blog and also spoke at the Sharepoint Conference doing a session with my boss, Frank Fischer on Silverlight and Popfly with Sharepoint. Shortly after the launch I was in Hannover for BarCamp Hannover. It was a great event but unfortunately was a little sick. At the beginning of March, I was in Hannover again for the CeBIT where I did videos for On10 and also posted several of the developer sessions on to Channel 9.
This weekend I’m in Essen for BarCamp Ruhr. Not sure where Essen is? Take a look at the map. It is in an area of Germany that is called the Ruhrpott. I’m writing this post there and will hopefully use it my session later today on Windows Live Writer and Popfly.
Below are some photos from the event including Tom Wendel’s session on AntMe. AntMe is an ant simulation that makes it fun to learn to program. It’s mostly in German right now, but they will hopefully be introducing an English version soon. For more details on AntMe check out the website at: http://antme.net/English/
